Become an OPP Volunteer or Foster

Do you have time and love to spare?


Do you enjoy working with people and their pets?


Volunteering with OPP is for you. Animal lovers just like you make up our network of volunteers.


We are a 100% volunteer driven organization and while our volunteers come from different backgrounds, they have a few traits in common:

  • dependability
  • compassion for people & animals
  • desire to be a part of the solution for Rez pets on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • providing pet care assistance to pets at Pine Ridge
  • promoting spay/neuter events on the reservation
  • transporting pets to rescue
  • fostering a pet until adopted
  • holding a supply drive
  • writing grants
  • coordinating a fundraising event
  • picking up in-kind donations
  • assisting at adoption events
